Bearsted Guitar Surgery is based on the edge of Maidstone in Kent, providing professional setup, maintenance, upgrading and repair services for electric, acoustic and bass guitars. Many guitars (old and new) are not setup to perform at their maximum potential and my aim is to provide a high quality, personalised service to make your instrument the best that it can be, with the correct action, intonation and neck relief tailored to your individual playing style and preferences.

Standard Set Up: £45

Truss rod adjustment

Prices exclude strings or additional parts. Additional £15 charge for Floyd Rose/floating tremolos and 7/8/12 string guitars

Unbound Rosewood/Ebony/Laurel/Pau Ferro: £190 plus strings                           

Maple (using same size fret wire): £220 plus strings              

Bound fingerboard (removing nibs): £275 plus strings                 

​Nickel silver frets are fitted as standard. For stainless steel frets add £75

Re-frets include full set up and service. Most re-frets require a new nut to be fitted (prices below).

Electrical Work

Replace input jack: £20

Re-wire: £40 per hour
